Director and Founder

Meet Deborah

Deborah is the Director & Founder of Empowered Collective. In mid-2020, she started the business with the goal to deliver high quality mobile, flexible and empowering community service programs.

Since then, the business has grown under Deborah’s leadership. With a focus on return-to-work outcomes, the team has managed and delivered many successful community programs in partnership with government and the not-for-profit sector across the ACT and NSW.

Deborah is our most experienced Mentor and works one-on-one with people to identify their strengths and vulnerabilities, map their career goals and apply for jobs.

Deborah had a long career in private and public sectors, including 16 years in the Australian Public Service, before pursuing her love of community services.

Deborah applies her passion for helping people with her experience in achieving agreed performance outcomes and outputs. She also applies good governance, project management and value for money to all contract arrangements.

A keen volunteer, Deborah remembers being active with Vinnies as a young child accompanied by her parents. She later took up volunteering as an adult in her local community, across a variety of community programs. Deborah believes that volunteers are the heart of every community.

Deborah is a member of the Moruya Business Chamber and South Coast Women in Business.
